Abstract Painting Workshop with Armando Soto

March 11, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

$70

Have you ever seen an abstract painting or drawing and wondered why it is visually stimulating?

In this class, students will learn the basic concepts, ideas, and techniques of the “figure ground”. The figure ground relationship is a traditionally used design technique that allows the viewer’s eye to engage with a two-dimensional surface. But what if you were to take this traditional idea and warp it into an abstract three-dimensional object? By utilizing drawing, painting, and sculptural elements, students will create visually stimulating works of art and gain the knowledge that will change how they view the world around them.

Instructor: Armando Soto (Bio below)
His work is currently exhibited at Music To My Hair.
