MUSIC, ART, & HAIR.

Finally, our dream is becoming a reality! Master stylist and creative director, Asad Alkurabi, envisioned Music To My Hair from the very beginning as being a place where all kinds of artists can come to share their talent and inspire others. We were so excited and honored to have our stage graced with talented poets, story tellers and musicians and our walls decorated with beautiful paintings and art on Sunday evening.
 
We’ve included some photos of the lovely and supportive people who came out to celebrate our first artistic event. See if you can spot yourself or someone you know in the crowd and tag them if you do!
 
As Asad mentioned on Sunday night, it’s our intention to bring these art-centered events to the Capital Region at Music To My Hair at least once a month. The Artists of Creative Connections at Music To My Hair

Sunday, November 15th. 2015

As some of our readers may know, Music To My Hair had our first in-house salon event this past Sunday. The event was co-hosted by Maria Diotte of Enlightened Bliss: Creative Connections and designed to focus on the arts. There was a musical performance by Ragliacci, the MC of the night, poetry by D. Colin, Poetyc Visionz, Joseph D. Renzi, & Avery Stempel, and short stories by Richard Lovrich accompanied by Corey Aldrich, and Steve Anderson. The walls and mirrored stations featured paintings by Patrick Sherwood  and artwork by Dana S. Owens.

The event was catered by Innovo Kitchen, our wonderful neighbors, and we featured several raffle giveaways from Nex Gen Indoor Golf and Music To My Hair.

A huge thank you goes out to all of the extremely talented artists that were involved with Creative Connections at Music To My Hair. It was truly an amazing night because of each and every one of you!

Music To My Hair Salon & Advanced Academy plans to have an event that incorporates the arts at least once monthly. It’s up to all of us to continue on the journey that we’ve started here. We would be honored for each of you to be involved with us in future events and hope that you will all support us in our efforts.

It’s important that each of us continues to do our best to highlight the arts in the Capital Region through Music To My Hair, to inspire with our spoken words, paintings, and songs, and to encourage others to discover the artists within themselves.

Thank you again to those who shared their talents with us, and to anyone who attended the event – we sincerely thank you for your support and we hope that you enjoyed the night (especially the artists) as much as we did!
